Ultraviolette F99 sets quarter-mile record for Indian motorcycles: Check time
Ultraviolette F99 sets quarter-mile record for Indian motorcycles.

Bengaluru-based EV maker Ultraviolette Automotive has raised the bar for Indian motorcycles with its F99 Racing Concept, shattering records at the Valley Run 2024 held in Aamby Valley. Clocking a quarter-mile time of 10.712 seconds, the F99 has officially claimed the title of the fastest Indian motorcycle, a feat certified by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). This performance places the F99 in league with some international middleweight motorcycles. The motorcycle was ridden by multiple-time national champion Abhishek Vasudev and outpaced the next best Indian-made bike by over a second.
The F99 is designed with a full carbon fiber exoskeleton and a carbon fiber battery pack. Weighing just 180 kg, the F99 produces an impressive 120 horsepower (90 kW) and a staggering 972 Nm of wheel torque. It houses a 400V battery architecture and features a liquid-cooled drivetrain.
With lightning-fast acceleration, the bike can go from 0 to 100 kmph in under 3 seconds and reach 200 km/h in less than 10 seconds.

While the F99’s record-breaking run is a big achievement for the EV maker, the company has now announced plans to attempt the top speed record for an Indian motorcycle in the coming weeks, aiming to further push the boundaries of what Indian two-wheelers can achieve. While the F99 is not a road-legal machine, the company sells the F77 Mach-2 in India, a road-legal electric performance motorcycle priced from Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
