Kia India has released yet another teaser for its upcoming sub-4-metre SUV, hinting at the inclusion of an Indian market-favourite feature. Dubbed the Kia Syros, this new model will slot between the brand’s popular Sonet and Seltos, with a focus on comfort and practicality.
Kia Syros: What does the teaser reveal
In the latest video, the company has teased a panoramic sunroof that will be offered with the model. With a panoramic sunroof, the Syros will surpass the single-pane sunroof offered in the Sonet, further highlighting its elevated positioning in the lineup.
As seen in previous teasers, the SUV boasts a boxy silhouette with a flat roof and upright rear. It sports a vertical DRL setup reminiscent of Kia’s Carnival, sculpted door panels with flush handles, robust roof rails, and distinctive L-shaped taillights. The overall look is modern yet functional.

Though specific details for the cabin remain under wraps, the model is expected to draw inspiration from larger Kia models like the Carnival and EV9. Features such as a spacious layout, premium materials, and advanced connectivity options are likely to be on offer. On the feature front, it is speculated to pack an impressive array of equipment, including ADAS, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and ventilated front seats.
Under the hood, the Syros is expected to borrow its powertrains from the Sonet, offering a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While Kia hasn’t revealed the official launch date of the model, we can expect it to arrive as early as 2025, marking the first vehicle under the brand’s ambitious 2.0 strategy for India.
